Pay Range

$98,800.00-$135,900.00 Annual

This is the base salary pay range that an applicant can expect to make upon hire.   Pay within this range will vary based upon relevant experience, skills, and education among other factors. In addition, this position is eligible for an incentive bonus. 

As an Electrical & Controls Engineer II, you will play a critical role in elevating plant performance, improving system reliability, and driving key operational outcomes for the Richmond, IN facility. Rather than focusing on routine day‑to‑day tasks, this role emphasizes strategic impact, technical leadership, and results‑based engineering improvements that directly influence plant safety, productivity, and long‑term reliability.

Core Performance Objectives & Success Outcomes:

Improve Equipment Reliability & Reduce Unplanned Downtime

  • Lead initiatives that strengthen electrical and control system reliability, with the goal of reducing downtime trends year over year.
  • Drive root‑cause analysis and corrective action implementation that permanently prevents repeat equipment failures.

Deliver High‑Impact Engineering Projects

  • Own plant electrical and control system projects from concept through completion—success measured by on‑time delivery, adherence to budget, and achievement of documented performance targets.
  • Lead or support capital improvement projects that enhance safety, efficiency, automation, and system capability.

Strengthen Safety & Compliance Performance

  • Advance the plant’s electrical safety posture through execution of safety initiatives and adherence to corporate engineering standards.
  • Champion NFPA 70E standards and ensure controls systems meet safety and environmental compliance expectations.

Elevate Operational Efficiency & Process Control

  • Drive optimization of PLC, HMI, DCS, and SCADA control systems to improve process stability and throughput.
  • Identify performance gaps within production systems and implement engineered solutions that deliver measurable improvements.

Lead Technical Development & Cross‑Functional Collaboration

  • Mentor junior engineers and electricians, raising technical capability across the team and improving troubleshooting efficiency.
  • Partner with operations, maintenance, and external engineering resources to steer priorities and ensure alignment on performance outcomes.

What You Bring to the Team:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or Electrical Engineering Technology.
  • 3+ years of experience in control systems engineering in a continuous or discrete manufacturing environment.
  • Strong knowledge of Allen‑Bradley PLCs, HMIs, and networked control systems; familiarity with DCS/SCADA.
  • Ability to read electrical schematics and engineering drawings; demonstrated project management skills.
